Automatic Fire Suppression for Commercial Extractor Hoods
Flexible Fire Detection Tubing (FDT) is installed directly inside commercial extractor hoods, positioned strategically above high-risk cooking areas. Designed for rapid response, this automatic fire suppression system protects your kitchen exactly where fires are most likely to start.
How the FDT System Works:
Heat Detection: In the event of a fire, the pressurized FDT senses the extreme heat. The point on the tubing nearest the heat source will automatically burst at precisely 175°C (347°F).
Valve Actuation: This sudden depressurization of the tube instantly actuates a specialized pressure differential valve.
Rapid Suppression: The system immediately floods the targeted cooking area with a Class F extinguishing agent, which is specifically formulated to smother cooking oil and grease fires.
Key Benefits for Your Kitchen:
Instant Reaction: The fire is rapidly suppressed just moments after ignition.
Targeted Protection: Suppresses the fire at its exact source before it can spread to the rest of the facility.
Minimized Downtime: Fast suppression limits equipment damage, reduces cleanup time, and prevents costly operational downtime for your restaurant or commercial kitchen.
